Covey Run Winery
Prosser, Washington
We were contacted in late June of 2006 by Covey Run Winery in Prosser
Washington. Although their existing chiller system was only a few
years old, they were not willing to risk their harvest on this unreliable
system.
Existing chiller system that was replaced
We knew it would be a challenge with just a few months till harvest
to design and build a very large system that could also be incorporated
in with their existing glycol storage tank and process pumps. We
supplied two 100 HP Chiller Modules, each supplied with dual 50
HP refrigeration circuits utilizing our CR110 Refrigeration Microprocessor
Control System.
After working through some minor issues at start up, we were extremely
pleased to hear that these unit operated as designed and eliminated
any “cooling issues” during harvest.
We appreciated the opportunity to work with Tim Hightower, their
installation contractor, and the crew at Covey Run. We look forward
to working with them more in the future.
